We have two church buildings set in one beautiful parish with lots of space for different events.

church hall hire
St John's in the Fields
The church can be booked for weddings, funerals, concerts, talks or other events. The green space in the churchyard can also be booked.
Recently refurbished, the hall includes a large, flexible room (8m x 8m) with a separate, fully equipped kitchen, two toilets, an outside yard and free parking. It can be hired for one-off events (such as children's parties) or for recurring bookings. There is also a small annex room which can be booked separately.

St IA

WEDDINGS
St Ives is one of the most beautiful seaside towns in the country and welcomes thousands of people from all over the world every year. Golden sands, blue seas and fishing boats create a magical atmosphere making it the perfect venue for you wedding.

The Parish church of St Ia sits almost on the harbour with the most stunning views from all around the bay. This makes it a fabulous venue for your Christian wedding ceremony. As well as the beautifully decorated interior, the garden around the church provides a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photographs.
​
St Ives church is always willing to help and support any couples who are thinking about their wedding in the Parish Church of St Ia. Through our music director and knowledge of the local wedding venues and services offered, we can help ensure that you make the most of this sacred expression of companionship and Gods love.

funerals
A church will always be there to help you through one of life’s most difficult times. A Church of England-led funeral is available to everyone, giving support before, during and after the service, for as long as it’s needed.

At the heart of every funeral led by a Church of England minister is the good news of God’s love for every unique human being. Each service is designed to reflect that love alongside the story of a particular life.

baptisms
Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives, the first step in response to God’s love.
For all involved, particularly the candidates but also parents, godparents and sponsors, it is a joyful moment when we rejoice in what God has done for us in Christ, making serious promises and declaring the faith. The wider community of the local church and friends welcome the new Christian, promising support and prayer for the future. Hearing and doing these things provides an opportunity to remember our own baptism and reflect on the progress made on that journey, which is now to be shared with this new member of the Church.
