Midweek activities

Here you will find details about the midweek meetings and groups that run out of either St Ia or St Johns. None of these are running at present but keep an eye on the website to find out when they restart!

Monday Morning (9:30 - 11:15)
Tiddlers @St John's Church Hall

Tiddlers is a Baby and Toddler group that meets every Monday morning in term time. We play, we craft, we eat snacks and we sing. If the weather is nice we play outside. Plus there is cake! For more information please contact Claire or Debbie

Monday Evening (19:30 - 20:15)
Christian Meditation @St Ia

The Christian meditation group provides worshipers with 45 minutes of support and practice in the art of silent meditative prayer according to the World Community for Christian Meditation.  We meet in the Lady Chapel (side door entrance off St. Andrews Street). Our small group welcomes visitors all the year around so please come and join us. Visitors and newcomers welcome!

Monday Evening (19:00 - 21:00)
Needles & Pins @St John's Church Hall

Needles and pins is a friendly group of enthusiastic sewers who meet each week to chat, drink tea and work on our own individual designs or group sewing projects. In the past these have included knitted hats for the homeless, hats for the special care baby unit at Treliske, and quilts for the Linus project.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
Midweek Bible Studies

There are multiple midweek study groups that meet at different times. There is a Tuesday evening home group (contact Debbie), a Women's bible study that meets on a Wednesday morning (contact Claire) and a Men's Breakfast (contact Nick) that meets on a Friday morning. In addition to this there are occasional courses - please check the events page for more information.

First Wednesday (9:30 - 13:00)

Wednesday (19:00 - 20:30)
Choir Practice @St Ia

The choir is a friendly, dedicated group of voluntary singers who come together from a range of backgrounds by a love of singing sacred music in a liturgical context.  Our main rehearsal is on Wednesday’s at St Johns in the Fields church hall, Hellesvean. TR26 2HG from 7.30pm. There is also a short rehearsal before the 9:30 am Sunday services. We would love to recruit more singers in all parts to create an even larger choir.

If you are interested in joining the choir and would like further information, then please contact Graeme Parkhill.

Bumps and babies is a group that meets every Friday in term time, and is especially for expectant Mums and Tiddlers under 1. Lots of time to chat, drink coffee and eat cake, while babies are free to play, sing and make as much mess as they like! Contact Debbie or Claire
