Get Help...
Across our churches, we want everyone to know that it's okay to ask for help. While we may not be able to meet every need ourselves, we can help you find the right support.
mental wellbeing & crisis
If you are finding life difficult or are struggling with your mental health and wellbeing, you don't have to face it alone. We are here to offer a listening ear, prayer, and gentle support, and would be glad to walk alongside you. If you would like to talk, please get in touch via - nick@stiveschurch.org.uk
If you would like to speak to someone sooner then St Ia Church Café is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00am–4:30pm. Our café staff are always happy to offer a listening ear, pray with you and, where appropriate, can help you find further support.
MARRIAGE & Parenting
If you're facing challenges in your marriage or parenting and would value some support, guidance, or a listening ear, we would be happy to help. We can offer limited crisis support and coaching in a compassionate and confidential setting, or support in seeking further professional support. If you are experiencing financial hardship or finding it difficult to make ends meet, support is available. St Ives Community Foodshare offers free surplus food to anyone who needs it, helping to ease the pressure during difficult times. Everyone is welcome, and no one should feel embarrassed about asking for help.

In addition to the Community Foodshare collections, St John's also has a Community Food Pantry located in the church hall car park. The pantry is available at all times and is stocked with donated food and essential items. Anyone is welcome to take what they need or leave items to help others if they are able. It is there to support our local community whenever extra help is needed.
If you are experiencing financial hardship, you may also be able to apply for financial assistance through the William Chard Trust, which provides grants to individuals and families in need in the St Ives area. If you would like help completing an application or would appreciate someone to talk it through with you, we would be pleased to support you. For more information and to apply CLICK HERE.
Bereavement support
Bereavement can affect everyone differently, and you do not have to go through it alone. If you are grieving the loss of someone close to you, we are here to offer a listening ear, a friendly conversation, or, if you would like it, prayer and pastoral support. We also run a Bereavement Support Group throughout the year in six-week courses, providing a welcoming and supportive space to meet others who are navigating loss. If you would like more information, someone to talk to or pray with or would like to join a future group, please email love.loss.grief@gmail.com.
